Sport Poole are once again hosting Poole’s Sports Awards this year with the support of the BCP council.
The event celebrates all the hard work of the area’s sports men and women. Nominations for any age group can be made by individuals, sports coaches, sports clubs and schools. The nominations are now open and the deadline for submissions is 1 December 2019.
There are two different types of awards to be given out on the night. Certificates of Commendation recognise the outstanding sporting achievements over the last year. Whilst the Freddie Rowe Award looks to honour one individual for their contribution or long service to a club.
Previous winners of the Freddie Rowe Award include Graham Sutton for services to Poole Cycle Speedway and Gina Wilcox for services to swimming.
The evening will be sponsored by Everyone Active leisure centres and presented by the Mayor of Poole. The 2019 awards will be held on 26 February 2020. To find out how you can nominate someone here.
