The Folk Orc is a group of amateur musicians, led by talented multi-instrumentalist Chris Hopgood. Chris began his music life at Coda Music Centre and now meets regularly at venues across Dorset and Hampshire to learn a repertoire of traditional folk music and play it as a group. The Folk Orc group is accessible to all and encourages anybody who has an interest in music to join its community of social, like-minded individuals.

Chris and the members of the Folk Orc are visiting venues across Dorset and the New Forest to offer free workshops and sessions in a mission to inspire, build confidence and encourage people to get the best out of Folk music. With there 20 plus traditional folk instruments they invite people to simply have a go and bring their enthusiasm to the sessions.
