The Syd Lawrence Orchestra are back with their explosive new show ‘Big Band Spectacular’.
The orchestra have been voted the ‘Best Big Band in the Land’ for the eighth year running.
The show will take the audience on a dynamic journey packed with Big Band favourites in Lighthouse, Poole’s Concert Hall.
These include the likes of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra and many more.
The director of the orchestra is Chris Dean, who has been in this role since 1996.
The band was founded in 1967 by the late, great trumpeter and arranger Syd Lawrence.
The orchestra has a deserved reputation for its blend of high octane Big Band Swing and classic dance music.
It also draws on a repertoire of more than 1200 tunes and is sounding better than ever.
