TRANSPORT & TRAVEL: MoreBus bringing brand new buses to route 13

0

MoreBus have announced that they will be introducing five new double decker busses on the route 13, Bournemouth to Wimborne service.

The buses come as part of the investment into local transport services to encourage people to use more sustainable ways to travel. This follows their recent introduction of 41 single decker busses onto the M1 and M2 routes and underlines their commitment to running the latest technology across the region.

Morebus managing director, Andrew Wickham said: “Bus travel in Dorset is popular – and I’m delighted that we have been able to invest £8 million in our Morebus fleet during recent years.

“These new British-built ADL Enviro 400 City double deckers have luxury seats, as well as tables upstairs – giving our customers extra space in which to work or to chill out. They are also equipped with USB chargers for smart devices, along with contactless ticketing for extra convenience.

“Just as important are the low emissions Euro 6 engines – which are kinder to the environment than those found in the very latest diesel cars.”

MoreBus hopes to make public transport more attractive to people living at working in the area, encouraging them to leave the car at home and as a result, reduce congestion in Bournemouth. The new busses will begin service in September.
