Barbara Rose pre-school – a feeder to Muscliff Primary – has launched an urgent appeal to raise £15,000 to avoid closure.
£15,000 is required in the next two weeks, otherwise the much-loved pre-school will be forced to shut their doors.
The pre-school has been a part of the community for nearly 30 years, since opening in 1990.
Closure means that a number of local parents will have to find alternative childcare arrangements, some at fairly short notice.
Various fundraising initiatives are already beginning including Cake sales,. Every cake sold will help, but it will take more than a few cakes to save the pre-school so they are planning on contacting local businesses to see if they can help too.
