LEISURE: Boscombe Gardens to host July’s Festival of Wellbeing

Boscombe Gardens is to host its seventh annual Festival of Wellbeing on Friday July 26 from 1-4pm.
It is a free afternoon for families to attend and there will be events such as face painting, live music and a free raffle.

The organisers are Bournemouth-based charitable housing association BCHA Ignite.

Their programme works to support young people get back into work.

Kate Coughlan BCHA Ignite Development Coach said: “There is very much something for everyone – entertaining and educational activities for adults and children, locals and holidaymakers – so we hope you reserve a date in your diary.”

The festival is designed to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing as well as the work that BCHA do in the community.

There will be experts on hand to deal with any housing or social queries you may have along with stalls from Dorset Mind, Salvation Army and Cherry Tree Nursery amongst others.

Local folk band Hightown Crows will be playing live in the bandstand at the Christchurch Road end of the gardens.
