LOCAL NEWS: European election candidates to appear at local debate

Branksome will play host to an open forum for candidates running in the European Parliament Elections for the South West region this evening.

An impartial chair will quiz the candidates, and locals are encourages to join the event to meet the people who could possibly represent them in Brussels.

Confirmed speakers include; Ann Widdecombe (The Brexit Party), Caroline Voaden (Liberal Demorats), Clare Moody (Labour), Molly Scott Cato (Green), Faye Purbrick (Conservative), Neville Steed (Independent) and Jim Godfrey (Change UK).

The event takes place at St Aldhelm’s Church (BH13 6BT) tonight.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

  1. “An impartial chair will quiz the candidates”? It is Bournemouth Echo’s Andy Martin who has just been elected as a Tory councillor, hardly what I would call as impartial 🙂
