Dorset could be expecting strong winds of up to 70mph as Storm Hannah hits over the weekend.

Pushing from west to east across the South of England and Wales, exposed coasts could see gusts of up to 60-70mph from Friday evening, with more inland parts of the area likely to see 45-55mph gusts on Saturday.

The extreme weather conditions could cause disruption to travel, with delays expected for road, rail, air and ferry transport.

Large waves and sea spray could affect the seafronts and coastal routes, and fallen branches could cause some short term loss of power and other services.

Make sure to check bus and train services before travelling, and exercise caution if visiting coastal areas.
