Although events take place throughout the town for much of the month the climax is undoubtedly the festival weekend which in past years has seen up to 70,000 people attending. This year over 100 stalls are scheduled to attend with many offering an array of local produce in addition to the stalls offering ingredients, cookware, wines and spirits as well as food to eat on the move or to take home.

Down at Town Quay (also known as The Quomps and Christchurch Quay) the festival village, now in its fourth year, will provide the setting in the demonstration Theatre where local chefs and the odd celebrity chef will be showing us all how to cook food like the experts. Children are not forgotten as it is here you can also enjoy the “Kids Kitchen” where children of all ages can book in and learn to cook.

Getting to Christchurch – If at all possible we advise you leave the car at home as parking can be a nightmare and with the increased number of visitors you could be wasting valuable enjoyment time trying to park the car! We have two local bus companies who come right into town, morebus (http://morebus.co.uk/) service X1/X2 and Yellow Buses (https://www.yellowbuses.co.uk/) services 1/1a/1b coming by train (https://www.southwesternrailway.com/) is also an option as the station is just a ten minute walk from the town centre.
