ENTERTAINMENT: The UK’s answer to Chris Rock at laugh out loud comedy club at the Pavilion

0

Every month at the Bournemouth Pavilion the best in live stand-up comedy will be appearing with a line up of hilarious comedians sure to have you laughing out loud all night. This month, on the 15th July, we see Marlon Davis, Robert White and Chris Washington take to the stage.

Marlon Davis is a bright young comedian, improviser and actor who embraces his work with energy and charm. He embodies his characters and delivering his acute observational material with aplomb. Adam Bloom, one the country’s longest established headline comedians said of Marlon;”He’s going to be a star, has all the charm and passion of Chris Rock”.

Award-winning Marlon’s recent TV appearances include Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC3), The Steve K Amos Show (BBC2) and The Five O’Clock Show (Channel 4). After being crowned FHM Stand Up Hero 2009 he has supported Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr on tour and is performing at clubs, arts centres and theatres all over the UK.

Robert White is one of a kind. He describes himself as the World’s best Asperger, gay, dyslexic, cross-lateral, web-toed comedian. All this makes stand-up the perfect career choice! Nevertheless, before discovering life as a comic he’s had an astonishing total of 67 jobs which even included a stint as an organ player. Gags aplenty and a unique outlook on life make him a superb, consistently funny and inventive comedian. With talent to burn he’s also a super skillful musician, weaving catchy and compelling tunes into his hilarious act. White is praised for his manic and hyperactive comic style.

Chris Washington has that indefinable something that makes you feel like you’re watching your best and most amusing friend – only even funnier! With cheeky Northern charm and hilarious tales, it’s clear to see why Chris is flying up the comedy ladder. He’s a hit with audiences all over the country as he manages to be relatable, original and loveable all at the same time!

The compere and MC for the evening is Damion Larkin who the BBC have said is “One of the country’s top new comedians”. With this line up it’s set be an evening of uncontrollable laughter!

All line ups are subject to change, but don’t worry, we’re assured they’ll only be replaced with someone just as funny!
