With the mounting concern regarding the apparent rip-off of parents travelling in the school holidays has driven a Travel entrepreneur to start a new company.

Paul Dendle who started Avro Plc in 1984 and built the company to be the UK’s largest flight only operator with £140M turnover carrying 1.25m passengers sold the company to the Monarch Airlines Group in 1995 (The year Easyjet started)

He has now started Loloflights who are flying peak season only, undercutting rivals by up to £100 per person, Lolo is teaming up with Luxury jet operator AirX, flying Boeing 737-500 aircraft with only 120 seats, Lolo are offering 31inch seat pitch, free in-flight snack and for a limited period free 15kgs baggage per person. Dendle commented “the problem with the phenomenon of low cost airlines is they fly fairly flat seasons, whereas their capacity is very similar from May to October and there is no effort to provide peak season capacity, this drives up prices in the crucial Summer school holidays,  Lolo is a direct response to parents pleas to reverse this trend”

Initially they are flying 8 flights a week from Manchester to Greece and one from Bournemouth to Skiathos, but plan to fly 7 flights from Bournemouth from 2017 giving residents on the south coast even more choice.
