Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole, which provides free care and support for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, is offering a special house clearance service to the local community as well as seeking donations of good quality saleable furniture for its retail outlets.

The charity provides free care and support services to over 700 people a year via their Day Hospice, Lymphoedema Clinic and Better Breathing Clinic, and this year will complete the final phase of the opening of its bedrooms to operate 24/7 and provide end of life care as well as respite and rehabilitation.

The hospice is also urging anyone who has any unwanted items, such as clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, games, books, DVDs, CDs, crockery, glassware and bakeware, to consider donating them to any of its seven hospice shops.

Laura, added, “We would really welcome any unwanted gifts for our shops and also remind people that if they are a UK tax payer, please ask about Gift Aid when donating as this adds 25 per cent to the value of their donations and therefore can have a significant impact on the amount we can raise for the hospice.”
