Local mountain bike enthusiast invents a clean way to transport bikes

A Bournemouth man who grew sick of his bike getting the inside of his van muddy has created the ideal solution – the Dirt-Bag!

Chris Varney couldn’t find anything to successfully keep his interiors free from mud and dirt, so he borrowed a sewing machine and created a prototype Dirt-Bag to store his bike in. The bags are now in production and are already proving to be a great hit.

Each bag is handmade in Bournemouth, from materials sourced in the UK.

“the Dirt-Bag keeps the dirt in the bag until you get home. Once you’re home, take the bike out, let the bag dry, and then you can shake or brush the dirt off and pack it away until next time. It also stops your bike frame from getting scratched.”
